A 91-year-old farmer from Co. Kilkenny has died following a farm accident involving livestock.
It is understood the man was attacked by a cow while attending to a newborn calf.
Emergency services were called to the scene after 9pm last night. The farmer was pronounced dead upon their arrival.
The tragedy marks the fourth farm fatality this year.
