The Health Safety Authority (HSA) have launched a new media campaign highlighting how vital it is to be cautious at all times when using machinery on the farm.
The key message of both the tv and radio advert is to “Always beware of machinery on the farm”.
In total, 106 tractor and machinery-related deaths occurred between 2008 and 2017. The combination of farm vehicles (30%) and machinery (20%) represents half of all farm fatalities spanning over the period of the last ten years.
