Having just welcomed a baby gorilla, Dublin Zoo really is a sight to see this summer. Why not take the kids to learn about endangered wild animals? National Aquatic Centre
There’s no better time to go for a swim than during a heat wave. The Centre’s Aqua Zone boats slides, waves, and even a pirate ship.
Located next to Dublin’s Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, the National Aquatic Centre is accessible from the m50.

Stephen’s Green Park
Possibly Dublin’s most famous park, St Stephen’s Green is an incredibly popular destination for people trying to soak up a little sun!
You’re likely to see some picnics, some slacklines, as well as some 99s if you do decide to venture here. Located at the top of Dublin’s Grafton Street, any of the major bus routes going into the city should take you within walking distance.

The National Gallery of Ireland
With over 10,000 works, including over 2,500 paintings, the National Gallery of Ireland makes for a fantastic day trip.

Dundrum Town Centre
The Dundrum Town Centre makes our list in part because it is air conditioned, and in part because of the shops and restaurants you can visit as you try to cool down.
Located along the Luas tracks, the centre is a short trip from Dublin city centre. An underground car park with plenty of space also makes for an easy drive.
