Kildare’s Terra Liquid Minerals Scoops Up 2018 National Enterprise Award

Terra Liquid Minerals from Kildare has scooped up the overall title for this years National Enterprise Awards.

The agri-business was set up by two brothers, Tom and Padraig Hennessy, in 2012 as a means of improving animal health through drinking water by providing an innovative Agri Tech solution.

The Hennessy brothers developed an intelligent mineral dosing system which provides more than 50,000 dairy cows with liquid minerals through their drinking water.

The business employs ten people and announced a €2m expansion programme late last year.

Recent figures compiled by the Local Enterprise Offices show that previous winners of the National Enterprise Awards now employ 832 people and generate over €131 million in turnover, €58 million of which is generated from exports to 52 countries.
